Year Round-Up: 2012

As a new year begins we inevitably look back over the past twelve months; 2012 was an amazing year for MindConnex Learning, we’ve gone from strength to strength and things are looking to improve in 2013.

This year Hamlet and Julius Caesar were added to the growing Shakespeare In Bits series. Now, Shakespeare in Bits offers five of the most popular plays studied in schools today with plans to add more in the coming years. Overall, 2012 has been a great year for Shakespeare In Bits; with its growing popularity in the EdTech community the series won three separate awards:

We’re delighted to announce that in 2012 the number of schools subscribed to Shakespeare In Bits Live! rose by 43% with 99% of subscribers from 2011 renewing, and in some cases increasing, their subscriptions. We can add Denmark, France, Australia and Malaysia to the countries who have subscribed to Shakespeare In Bits Live! this year.

The team have also been busy getting out there into the world to meet with our customers and the rest of the community at events such as the BETT conference in London, FETC conference in Orlando, ISTE conference in San Diego and the EdTech Teacher iPad Summit in Boston. Due to the success of these events we’ll be aiming to attend even more in the coming years.

In the last few months of 2012 MindConnex and the Homeschool Buyers Co-op announced a partnership that gives homeschoolers the opportunity to access all five Shakespeare In Bits plays at school sale prices. We aim to see many more of this type of partnership develop in 2013.

These are only some of the highlights from 2012 and while it has been a very exciting year for all of us here at MindConnex Learning, 2013 is going to see us move in some very interesting directions. Not only will we continue to grow Shakespeare In Bits through the addition of new content, but we will also be launching a totally new product series called The Word Monsters! We look forward to giving you even more details about this exciting development later this month.
